Company Profile

Institutional

Founded in 2002, the Frigorífico Rio Maria works in the beef slaughtering business, producing about 150 tons of meat daily. The company has highly specialized employees in the treatment and production process of the raw material.

Located in the city of Rio Maria, in the south of Pará, it is in a privileged area, for getting all the herd necessary for its slaughter in very close regions (100Km), which facilitates the inspection and guarantees a superior quality of its production the whole year round.

It was strategically installed in a region where, through the hot and humid climate, and the flat relief, all the conditions for the development of natural cattle raising, better known as BOI VERDE (100% natural), are generated.

Environment

Institutional

Values and ethical principles are the base of the Rio Maria meatpacking plant culture, which is aware of its environmental responsibility, developing a nature conservation policy, with the reforestation project, where 60,000 Acácia mangium tree seedlings were planted, being 12,000 native seedlings for the recovery of permanent preservation areas.

The Frigorífico Rio Maria became a highlight throughout the region for being a pioneering company. It was the first company in the northern region of Brazil to invest in reforestation projects, according to an article published in the Expressão Magazine – 4th Edition.
